Farm trip

This term room 12 went on a trip to a farm  to see how a cow gets milked and how they look after the farm animals. I like how they reused  the cow pats to fertilise. the paddock to make the grass grow good.One thing I enjoyed was  that we learned how the cows get milked and how we got to test taste the milk. The milk was light and creamy and tasted delicious. Here is a photo peach about the farm trip. 

Water world

This week room 12 have been going to the pools to have swimming lesson at water world so  we can be safe this summer at the beach and have fun. I have been learning how to do a deep water enter so I don't get hurt.  We have also been learning  how to keep warm in the water with other people in the water and to keep afloat in the water so we can be seen easy.  The one thing I have enjoyed was  learning how to stay afloat in the water and learning how to swim in baggy clothes.

juggling

last week room12 were learning how to juggle.
Fist we had to learn how to juggle one ball but now we are juggling two balls. this is how you do it:

 First you chuck one ball in the air then quickly chuck the other one and try and catch them.At the moment I am going quite well with chucking them in the air and catching them.

Long a sounds

    Last term the blends spelling group were listing long a sounds. The word will have a ai,magic e, eight ay ey and a all by its self. Here is a wordle I have created.

Cross Country

 Here is a photo peach on Cross Country.  At the field it was really muddy and everyone was excited. after the 9 yr old  girl and boy went the 10 yr old boy went.I was in the 10 yr old boy.I came first and after the race I rolled  in the mud because I was so so so hot and needed a drink. On the way to school my feet were really really sore .at school

Production

Three thing I enjoyed were being the air scene, singing 'Colour My World' and watching a movie.
Two emotions I experienced were excitement when we were getting ready and nervous when on stage.
One thing that challenged me was singing.

On Wednesday room12 did there speeches there discovery's or discovers.

My discovery speech was on the Stonehenge. I think I did well on doing eye contact

,a loud voice and lots of interesting fact. I need to work on my clear voice.I think justice did well on his speech.

gym sports

On Monday Room12 went to gym sports.

We learnt to do forward rolls, jumps, landing and other things. We had to do a complete circle.

I got to jump off a spring board and do cartwheels and we walked up the wall. I liked doing the walking up the walls and forward rolls was my favouite two.

swimming sports

On Thursday 8th of March the seniors did their swimming sports.
We lined up and got onto our bus and got into our seats and waited to get there. We got off the bus and went down to the park and ate our lunch.

I got my togs on and went to watch other people race.It was my race.
I hopped into the pool and got ready to swim. We were off .
At the end of my race I came second. I got ready for my next race.
I was doing freestyle. I was going to dive this time. I dived off the diving board and swam as fast as I could and came second. We were going to do the relay team swim. We came first in the relay race. We had to vs the parents and came second. We got out of the pool
and got dressed and got on to the bus and went home.

start of year reflection

This year we have been doing art in room12.
We are doing desk mats,name art and p.e cards.
I am looking forward to doing lots of learning
this year.I am going to do lots of maths,spelling,
reading,writing and do lots of learning.
